Explore the birthplace of the Olympic Games with this full-day tour. Visit this UNESCO World Heritage site and feel the magnitude of the ancient spirit, that leads our way even to these days. Walk in the footsteps of the World’s first Olympic Heroes that were competing more than 2,500 years ago, when the ancient Olympic Games were taking place every four years at this very site. Live the experience by running the ancient track and see the exact place where the Olympic flame gets lit every four years, signaling the kick-off for the modern games. Step back in time and feel what makes the area a unique destination for millions of people around the world, being at the site that hosted one of the seven wonders of the Ancient world. During the tour, you'll explore the Temple of Zeus, which once held a gold and ivory statue of the father of Gods, crafted by the renowned Phedias and considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. You'll also walk around the Palestra and Gymnasium, once used by athletes, and enter the Stadium from the crypt to transport yourself to another era and experience the chills of the athletes competing in the Stadion.
